Terms and Conditions
(CC refers to Chamonix Cabs)
- Smoking and the consumption of illegal substances are prohibited within CC vehicles. Intoxicated persons will be refused entry to the vehicle and the booking will be cancelled. The company reserves the right to cancel the booking if the driver sees the person/s as a threat to themselves, the vehicle or the other passengers. Anti social behavior will not be tolerated. The company reserves the right to cancel the booking: for example verbal or physical abuse towards any member or representative of CC and or any CC client. CC will recover the cost at the time of repairing any damage or cleaning to the vehicle caused by the client.
- Luggage is limited to 2 items per person, e.g. large board bag suitcase. You must inform us at the time of booking if you have more than two items as this may incur an extra fee or your luggage may have to travel separately if space is limited. A high level of care is taken while loading and unloading customer bags, however property should be clearly labeled with the name and destination address. All clients property is carried at their own risk, CC accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of such property.
- If you are traveling with a bike CC must be informed of it at the time of booking and also the exact number of bikes at the time of your booking as this will dictate the type of vehicle we use. Failure to inform CC that you are traveling with a bike may result in CC having to cancel your booking if we have insufficient room, you will be liable for the cost of the booking.
- If you require child seats you must inform CC of the exact type and number at the time of your booking, failure to do so may result in CC cancelling your booking and you being liable for the full cost of the booking.
- If you lose your luggage at the airport you must contact CC immediately on 0033632741470 or if you do not have a mobile go to your driver in arrivals at the designated meeting point immediately to inform them of your delay (you can access lost baggage from arrivals your driver will show you where to go) failure to do this may result in your booking being cancelled. We will where possible accommodate this delay or make alternative arrangements for your travel if possible.
- For all arrangements between CC and our clients, CC can not accept responsibility for changes or cancellation for your transfer in the case of Force Majeur, i.e. events beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, civil unrest, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, natural disasters fires, technical problems with the transport, airport closure, road closure, adverse weather conditions such as heavy snow, avalanche or the threat of. We cannot accept responsibility for the additional costs (e.g. accommodation, flight, travel costs) or loss of earnings that you may experience as the result of such an event happening.
- Passenger safety is a priority, safety belts must be worn at all times when traveling with us, the group leader is responsible for this.
- It is the client’s responsibility to inform CC of any delays (this includes delayed flights lost bags, diverted flights and all other delays) missed or cancelled flights by telephone. We will do our best to accommodate any changes. For delays over one hour we will where possible put you on our next available transfer or find alternative transport for you (in some cases this may involve an additional cost to the client and the client will be subject to the terms and conditions of the alternative transport provider). For Shared transfer bookings it may be necessary to split the group into different vehicles.
- For all phone, verbal, fax, written and Internet bookings the client is deemed to have read and accepted CC’s terms and conditions. The terms and conditions extend to all people in the booking. The group leader is responsible for all passengers conforming to these terms and conditions.
- It is the client’s responsibility to have personal travel insurance.
- Your confirmation booking number is your ticket and must be shown to the driver on request.
- CC liability is limited to its insurance contract conditions. Where travel is provided by operators other than ourselves our liability is to travel on CC services only.
- Payment is made in Euros or Euros cheque, this must be paid to the driver before departure, money transfers can be made to our bank at least 4 days before travel.
- Failure of the client to be at the agreed pick up address at the agreed time may result in your booking being cancelled.
- We have a seven-day cancellation policy for the termination of your transfer ticket. Your must telephone the CC office on 0033632741470 directly or a fee may be installed. We reserve the right to recover the full payment from you or your resort representative for the full amount of your booking, if you do not adhere to our seven-day cancellation policy. E.g. not the full number of people in your booking arriving at the airport or you use an alternative carrier service without cancelling your booking with CC.
- Chamonix Cabs reserves the right to add a fuel surcharge to the cost of a transfer should fuel prices rise excessively as of 1/06/2009
- Chamonix Cabs is a French company and any disputes that cannot be agreed between the two parties will be subject to French Law.
